As usual the Saturday event is in two parts, the daytime event which is open to the general public free of charge, will be held in Viewpark Sport and Fitness Centre & Burnhead Community Centre, Burnhead Street, Viewpark, Uddingston, G71 5AT.

The evening Banquet of Champions is for ticket holders only and will be held in the Dalziel Park Hotel, Hagen Drive, Motherwell, ML1 5RZ. Dance to the sounds of the “Motown Show”. Tickets are priced at £45 per person.

Freddie sadly passed away at home on Sunday 11th January 2009, with his loving wife Jan and his family by his side.

Freddie will be sorely missed by many, many people, he touched the souls of everyone he met.  Always smiling and happy and ready to tell one of his legendary stories, nothing was ever too much trouble for him, he always had the time to speak to people.  Freddie was a true gentleman and People’s Champion.
